Note on connecting DVDirect VRD-MC3 or VRD-30 to Sony HDD Handycam Models DCR-SR42/SR62/SR82 or DCR-SR200/300
If the System Software Version (sometimes called “firmware”) of the DVDirect is not 3.9.59.55 or later (VRD-MC3) or 3.9.59.52 or later (VRD-VC30), you cannot connect these camcorder models to DVDirect unless the System Software is updated. To check if your DVDirect has the latest System Software, go to setup from DVDirect’s main menu and select “System” (VRD-MC3) or “System Info” (VRD-VC30). The System Software version will be displayed. If you discover you need to update the System Software, click on the Firmware, Drivers and Utilities section for your DVDirect model and you will be taken to the appropriate support area for instructions on how to update the System Software of your unit.
