I'm unable to extract audio using Discribe.
We've found this problem to be related to an incomplete or corrupt installation of Quicktime 4. You can verify that the issue is related to Quicktime by trying to extract audio from an audio CD through Movie/Quicktime Player. Do this to verify:
1. Mount an audio CD in any CD-ROM drive 2. Launch Movie/Quicktime Player 3. Select File => Open (or Open Movie, or in QT 4 Pro you can use the Import command under the same pull-down menu), navigate to the mounted CD and open it in the Open dialog box
The symptoms are going to be that Movie/Quicktme Player won't see the tracks listed on the CD. If this is your case, then your remedy is to completely trash ALL Quicktime files that are installed on your Mac. This means dumping all Quicktime related Extensions, Control Panels, applications, preferences, installers, installer cache files, installer preferences. The only files that you don't need to trash are media files. then re-download the installer and install Quicktime again. If Quicktime installs as expected you will now be able to extract audio.
