I just formatted a CD-RW disc with Sony abCD. When I check the properties of the disc, it only shows 511 megabytes free. What is wrong?
Answer:
Nothing is wrong. As Sony abCD is a packet writing product, the packets take up space on the disc. For this reason, the overhead used for the packets takes up roughly 1/6th of the disc space. This is inherent in all packet writing products.
