How can I tell if my CD-ROM or CD-Recorder supports Digital Audio Extraction?

Answer:

Nearly all CD-R and CD-RW drives support Digital Audio Extraction (DAE), so you can always use the CD Recorder as the source to rip music from the CD to your computer. To determine whether your CD-ROM drive can rip or extract music from a CD and convert to an audio file, you can either use your recording software, which may issue an error message to the effect of 'Drive not capable of Digital Audio Extraction' or a diagnostic program, such as WinDAC.
