Error Message: "Out of Memory" DVDerr 16033

Answer:

Description
When I attempt to "Get Movies" I get an error message that says "Out of Memory" DVDerr 16033. I have plenty of memory left on the hard drive and no other programs are running. I am trying to "get" standard Mpg movies and have done so in the past.

Symptom
When I attempt to "Get Movies" I get an error message that says "Out of Memory" DVDerr 16033. I have plenty of memory left on the hard drive and no other programs are running. I've got 512 MG of RAM and 51 Gig of hard drive space. I am trying to "get" standard Mpg movies and have done so in the past.

Solution

  1. In the Make DVD Folder Dialog where is the Path set to? It should be to the top level of c:/ or the drive with the most free space that is local.
  2. Next click on the advanced tab and deselect all of the check boxes. Take a look at the path and see where your temp files are being stored. Follow the path through explorer and delete any old builds/files that may exist. Then change the path to the same place as the folder.
  3. Make sure that your drive has been defragged and your virtual memory isn't too large and that you have plenty of spcae on your hard drive (at least 5 gigs free).
