Why am I unable to read at the maximum speed my CDRW drive specifies?
Answer:
Verify you are running in DMA mode. To change from PIO to DMA mode:
Right Click on My Computer.
Select Manage.
Select Device Manager.
Select IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers.
Select the controller the CDRW is connected to.
Select advanced settings.
Choose DMA Mode.
