I am having problems installing the software that came with my product. Why?
Answer:
The fix is to uninstall and reinstall the Sony drive through the Device Manager (see directions below) and then install the software. This process of installing and uninstalling the Sony drive must be done for every application that is on the disc before each installation.
Windows 98/ME: Right-click My Computer, click Properties, and then click Device Manager. Click the + in front of CD-ROM. Highlight the Sony drive and Uninstall. Click on the Refresh button to reinstall the Sony drive.
Windows 2000/XP: Right-click My Computer, click Manage, and then click Device Manager. Click the + in front of DVD/CD-ROM drives. Highlight the Sony drive and Uninstall. Click on Action and select Scan for Hardware Changes to reinstall the Sony drive.
