Does the VRD-MC5 Record in Real Time?

If you are recording from a tape source (tape camcorder or VCR) the VRD-MC5 transfers the video to DVD in real time. This means that 30 minutes of video would take 30 minutes to transfer to DVD. If you have Sony hard disk, or Memory Stick camcorder, video is transferred to DVD at up to 7 times speed, or 30 minutes of video in about 5 minutes.
