Standard definitions DVDs created by the VRD-MC5 are playable in most DVD players. If you've recorded on a write once DVD+R or DVD+R DL or DVD-RW disc, you will need to finalize it before it will playback in a DVD player. When you eject the disc from the VRD-MC5, it will ask you if you want to finalize the disc. If you don't finalize the disc, you can continue to add more video or digital photos to it. High definition AVCHD discs can only be played back in Blu-ray disc compatible devices.
