Why do I receive errors when recording with Hotburn?

Answer:

To minimize errors, disable any background programs such as Anti-Virus, Screen Savers, or Power Management. Disable Auto Insert Notification and DMA, if applicable, for both drives. Go to Start/Find to do a search for the SCSI1HLP.VXD virtual file. Once it is found, rename is SCSI1HLP.OLD. You may need to change your system configuration. If using a USB drive, disconnect any other USB devices on the system. You also may need to slow down the recording speed.

Keep in mind that you will always get the best results copying from the hard drive. The source CD-Rom may not be able to extract the information off the CD fast enough to successfully record at any speed. In this instance, it will be neccessary to record the disc to the hard drive, and burn the CD from there.
